Below, we have provided answers to the most frequently asked questions about your visit to Live Well Health Centre, what to bring, and our fees. If there’s something specific you’re trying to find, please Contact Us.
At your first visit to Live Well Health Centre, your Osteopath will sit down with you and go through a detailed case history of your presenting complaint and general medical history. This helps them to achieve an understanding of your overall health before conducting a physical exam to identify the areas of dysfunction related to your presenting health concerns. Once an accurate diagnosis of your issue has taken place a hands on treatment followed by advice on management and exercise is provided by your Osteopath to help assist your recovery.
Note: Please allow 45 minutes for your initial consultation and 30 minutes for subsequent appointments.

Live Well Health Centre does accept patients with a EPC Plan referral from their General Practitioner. We do not however bulk bill these referrals and there will be a small out of pocket gap fee once the medicare rebate of $52.95 is subtracted from the consult fee.
Osteopathy is covered by most private health funds under ‘extras’ however, the amount covered depends on your level of cover and there may be a gap fee.
Clinical Pilates is covered under TAC and DVA, but not under private health insurance.
Fees
Our fees are listed by service and can be viewed below. Please be aware that any appointments not cancelled with at least 24 hours notice will result in a 50% cancellation fee, which must be paid before your next appointment.
Live Well Health Centre does accept patients with a referral from their General Practitioner through the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan. However, we do not offer bulk billing for these referrals and there may be a small out-of-pocket cost after the $52.95 Medicare rebate is applied. Payment for the consultation must be made on the day of service, and the receptionist will process your Medicare card for the rebate, which will be deposited into a savings or cheque account within 24 hours. Please note that a EFTPOS card with a savings or cheque account is required to process the rebate. If you do not have an EFTPOS card, you will be given a receipt to take to Medicare for reimbursement.
We do accept patients with Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) benefits who have a referral from their GP and a Gold card. These payments can be bulk billed directly. We also accept patients with Workcover claims, but we do not offer bulk billing for these. Payment for the consultation must be made on the day of the appointment, and a copy of the invoice can then be sent to your insurer. Please note that there may be a small gap fee with some insurers.
